Electrical Designer

As a RoviSys Electrical Designer you will work with a talented group of people using the latest technologies to provide innovative solutions to our clients. You will design and draw electrical drawings using AutoCAD for panel build and electrical construction packages.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, and a strong orientation to serving our customers.

Description:

• Develop automation control cabinets including, motor starters, variable frequency drives, system rack installations, power supplies, grounding requirements, control wiring and terminations
• Work at customer sites to determine system component locations
• Develop conduit and cable schedules
• Work with Project Engineers to develop contractor bid packages

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering
• Self-motivated with a passion for programming
• Current with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• US Citizen or permanent US resident

Additional Qualifications (desired):

• Panel Design basics and National Electrical Code and NFPA 79
• Power distribution up to 480 VAC, Fusing, etc
• Hardware applications include Rockwell, Siemens, Square D PLC and distribution components
• Familiarity with databases
