Helping manufacturers get more from their investment in OSIsoft PI system is the focus of the PI-tential pages of the RoviSys website. The tips and case histories on these pages first appeared in the PI-tential e-newsletter, which is published eight to ten times per year.
PI System benefits and challenges
Open connectivity, speed and flexibility explain why there are more than 14,000 PI System installations. With PI, you can collect data from all the equipment in your plant, create practically any reports and send information to your plant and business systems. It is a true process historian.
One challenge with PI System is the same as with any other manufacturing historian: determining which information to report. Another for PI is selecting the right reporting tool. We hope the tips and case histories assist you with these and other issues.
