GrandView FAQ

1. When I try to download files, I hear a beep and/or only get a blank page.

This is most likely caused by a popup blocker or an Internet Explorer setting. Please refer to the GrandView Web Client Software Requirements document to view required and recommended settings to download files.

2. I get a script error in my browser that prevents me from entering data in a popup page.

This is most likely caused by a popup blocker. GrandView requires popups to be enabled for most data entry pages. Please refer to the GrandView Web Client Software Requirements document to view required and recommended settings.

3. How do I turn on project status email notification?

Click on the Tools link in the upper right hand corner of the main page next to the company logo. Then click on the Email Notification button and enter the email address at which you would like to be notified.

4. How do I change my password?

Click on the Tools link in the upper right hand corner of the main page next to the company logo. Then click on the Change Password button and enter the required information. Your password will be changes effective the next time that you login.

5. What do I do if I forget my password?

You can request an automated password reset right from the login page by clicking on the "Forgot Username/Password" link and entering your email address for your GrandView account. If you continue to have problems, contact your GrandView Administrator or point of contact to reset your password.

6. How does project status email notification work?

First, you have to setup email notification by entering the email address at which you want to notified. Upon log out, the system will check for new project status actions requiring your attention. The first time that GrandView determines you have a new project status action, a single notification email will be sent. No other email notifications will be sent out until after you login and then log out again in which case the process is restarted.

7. My connection to GrandView is very slow, what should I do?

First check to see if your connection to the internet is running slow by going to other web sites. If possible, try to log out of GrandView and login later. If the slow connection continues, please notify your GrandView Administrator or point of contact.

8. How do I report a bug or request a new feature?

The easiset way to report an issue or request a feature is by clicking on the Support link in the upper right hand corner of the main page next to the company logo. This will take you to the GrandView Support Feedback page which will automatically fill in your user information. If you received a GrandView blue screen, clicking on the link provided will also pass in valuable error information to the support feedback page. For any issue or feature request, please provide as much information as possible.

9. How do I acknowledge project status logs?

When viewing the project status logs data view, simply click on the check boxes of the status logs that you want to acknowledge and then click on the Update button in the upper left hand corner of the page. You can also respond to a status log by clicking on the response icon. This effectively acknowledges a status log as well.

10. How do I enable or disable the SideBar?

The GrandView SideBar allows users to search for important information throughout the application. To enable or disable the SideBar, click on the Tools link in the upper right hand corner of the main page next to the company logo. The Enable SideBar checkbox should be checked to enabled the SideBar or unchecked to disable it. This action will require you to log out and then login to GrandView in order to take effect. The SideBar can also be disabled by clicking on the disable icon in the upper left hand corner of the SideBar. This action will disable the SideBar immediately.

11. Can I use FireFox, Chrome, Safari or some other web browser to run GrandView?

Yes! GrandView now works on all modern web browsers.

12. Can I use GrandView on my smartphone, tablet, or other mobile device?

Yes! Although it is not optimized, GrandView can now be run on iOS and Android mobile device browsers. Mobile apps will be available soon as well.
