Software Engineer

A Software Engineer will design and code custom software for clients wishing to automate sharing of information between process controls and higher level systems, or to organize and report information for use in making business decisions.

Description of Work:

• Software Product Development – Work closely with experienced software developers to analyze users’ needs and define requirements, design user interfaces, and construct/test/maintain software products
• Custom Software Development – Work directly with customers to define system requirements and develop real-time software applications related to industrial control (automation) or business solutions
• May grow into position leading team of programmers to define technology, standards and design of complex software projects

Qualifications:

• Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and advanced programming skills.
• B.S. in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or similar
• 0-2 years of experience with software and platform from list below

Software Development Knowledge:

• Object oriented skills.
• Web application development.
• Familiarity with databases.

Ideal Candidates – Software and Platform Knowledge:

• Platforms: Microsoft .NET, Microsoft Server 2003/2008, Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7
• Databases: Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, Oracle
• Programming languages: C++, C#, VB, ASP.NET, JavaScript
• Other: Software design, database design, network design/administration
