Choice and savings integrating SO2 and NOx
removal
However
you remove sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and other pollutants from your flue
gases, you want monitoring and control of your compliance systems to involve as
little cost and hassle as possible. This is a challenge when one or more of
these system uses separate controls.
As one of the leading independent industrial systems
integrators in North America and an experienced provider of power and energy
monitoring and management systems, engineers from The RoviSys Company can help
you bring sanity to your environmental controls. Because we work with a wide
range of current and legacy control
platforms, you can bring them all together
with the combination of usability, capabilities, supportability and affordably
right for your plant.
Flue gas desulphurization, nitrogen oxide
removal issues
SO2 removal is not complicated. But whether you use wet or
dry methods, it is equipment intensive. And that equipment needs to be
synchronized with your combustion controls to ensure emissions remain within
regulations and efficiency optimized even as load varies. The faster the boiler
fires, the more treatment is needed. At low rates, less.
With nitrogen oxide, the systems are smaller. The
techniques vary. You can recirculate flue gas. Or superheat it. Temperature and
timing matter. Nonetheless, reducing NOx in your flue gas raises the same issues
and need for coordination as sulfur dioxide removal.
Benefit from flexible controls integration
Integrated automation relieves most or all of the need to
manage each emissions system separately. This enables your managers and
operators to focus on your core objective—making steam efficiently.
The ability to select from a number of approaches provides
another form of freedom: to gain a solution within the parameters you prefer.
You can add a separate DCS for compliance systems. You can implement PLC control
managed from within your DCS or integrated HMI. There are many ways to get the
job done.
And because the 200 engineers at RoviSys know all
the systems, not just one or two, we can get it all done. For more information,
